Asus is well known for creating stylish and affordable phones, they have recently launched Zenfone 2 laser ZE550KL in India. The USP of this mobile is laser autofocus camera on the rear for fastest possible clarity.
Display and Design:
The Zenfone2 laser is beautifully crafted with ultra thin 3.9 mm edges. It does not have any buttons on the sides, the power button and audio jack is located at the top. In the lower end we have the power dock. Even though the power button is bit hard to access, the phone could be easily put on to sleep and wakeup mode by double tapping on the screen with single finger. The curved edges of the phone make it extremely comfortable to hold.
The front of the phone has a 5MP camera and a LED light to notify charging and missed calls. It has 3 touch sensitive buttons - Back, Home and App in the lower end of the phone.
The rear side of the phone has dual tone flash, 13 MP camera and laser auto focus. The volume control button is located just below the rear camera lens.
Zenfone 2 laser comes with 5.5 inch screen and an incredible 72% body to screen ratio. The screen has corning gorilla glass protection which makes it 85 % less likely to break during regular use. The touch response and viewing angle of the phone is good. It has blue light options for person who prefer low screen brightness and for reading in low lights. It has smart sensor option which will automatically switch off the display once the phone is raised to the ears. The large screen makes browsing better than other phones that I have used.
Battery, Storage and sound:
Zenfone 2 is a handset with 2 micro dual SIM slot and it works perfectly, it also supports 4G. It has 2GB RAM and 16 GB storage. It also has an expandable memory option. It runs on 64 bit anderoid and Asus zen user interface. Customisation of the icons and the options are quite easy in this phone.
It has a good call quality. You can expect 10 hours of battery backup with moderate usage. The battery which comes along with the phone can be replaced. It has sonic master five magnet speaker. It would have been nice if the speaker were louder.
|Different camera modes|
The camera is the Show stopper for this phone, it has 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera. I take all my blog photos in my iphone and edit it using other software, but Zenfone2 laser has inbuilt effects that makes photography a cake walk by saving loads of time.
My favourite camera effects are Manual mode, miniature, beautification, depth of field and GIf. Manual mode has many specifications, eg. DSLR and gives an awesome output. The front camera quality is awesome, the selfies come out beautifully. It has face and smile detection. Auto focus is fast and helps in giving out ultra clear image and the various modes in it is quite useful while taking photos for my blog. Super resolution mode helps in taking photos with extra ordinary details, the photos taken in this mode has 4X resolution (52MP) It can shoot 1920 * 1080p HD video, the quality of the video also truns out to be good.
|Depth of field|
I am in love with this phone. It is an great option for a price tag of Rs. 9,999. People who love photography, browsing and gaming must get this one. It is one of the best stylish budget phone that I have used so far.
